    Record 17 Deaths from Measles and Suspected Cases in 24 Hours

    In the last 24 hours, a record 17 more people have died across the country from measles and suspected measles cases. This information was provided in a press release sent from the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday (May 3).

    It stated that in the last 24 hours, the number of suspected measles patients was 1,302, and from March 15 to May 4, the total number of suspected measles patients stood at 41,793.

    In the last 24 hours, the number of confirmed measles patients was 154, and from March 15 to May 4, the total number of confirmed measles patients was 5,467.

    From March 15 to May 4, a total of 28,842 individuals with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 25,151 patients were discharged after recovery.

    In the last 24 hours, two deaths were confirmed due to measles, bringing the total confirmed measles deaths from March 15 to May 4 to 52.

    Additionally, 15 more deaths were reported in the last 24 hours due to suspected measles, making the total number of suspected measles deaths from March 15 to May 4, 259.
